Fishing on Koh Phangan is as simple as finding a good spot off a coastal rock or directly sitting at one of the piers (in Chaloklum, Bantai or even Thong Sala) and trying your luck. If offshore fishing is your preferred option, organizing a short trip with a local fisherman’s longtail boat with hand lines provided for fishing is a good start. But if you want something a bit more adventurous, you may need to book a boat fishing trip. For something out of the ordinary, going out with one of the night squid fishing boats from Chaloklum pier in the north of the island is a very special experience.
